These images were taken at RSPB Ryemeads of a pair of kestrels mating. The whole sequence was photographed in a few seconds ! It started with the male kestrel checking out the nest box, the female arrived and sat on top of the box. The male then flew out and landed on the female and mated with her before flying off a few seconds later. Hopefully this will lead to them breeding in this nest box giving us the chance to see young kestrels in the near future.
