These images include a Kestrel, Yellow Hammer, Curlew, Stonechat, Ring tailed Hen Harrier and a Marsh Harrier. Although image 3 is poor quality (Due to distance, high ISO and poor light) it does capture a rare moment of a Hen Harrier attacking a Marsh Harrier. The marsh Harrier had invaded the Hen Harrier’s territory and was diving into the long grass and carried off balls of mainly dead grasses and eventually dropping them a few feet above the ground. It has been suggested that these balls of material could possible be mice nests dropped in the hope of the young mice falling out or it is some sort of territorial behaviour by the female marsh harrier
