I photographed these cranes at Welney wildfowl reserve, they were a long way off and only stayed for less than ten minutes. The first images shows them calling just prior to taking flight. The light was very variable and mostly overcast but when the sun came out it light up the Whooper swans and made their water droplets sparkle.
