Aggressive Behaviour

February 25th, 2016

Still photographing short-eared owls and noticed how aggressive they were to their own kind, and was lucky enough to capture two owls fighting. I Decided to post some of the other instances I had photographed where wildlife were showing aggression. The first image is the two SEOs in question, the next one is two female kingfishers fighting in the water. The third is an otter who has killed a chicken, next is two young male kingfishers fighting, followed by the heron attacking an osprey (BBC Wildlife magazine photo of the month) The next one is a female kingfisher being aggressive to a young male, followed by the kestrel taking the vole from the owl, and finally two male kingfishers locked beak to beak fighting over a female bird. These images are from a number of locations over the last three years.
